DLL Spring Softball Registration is Open

Registration for Spring 2018 Little League Softball is now open.  Registration will remain open until December 31, 2017.

Softball registration is divided into two categories:  Returning Players and New Players.

  • Returning Player is a girl who has previously played in Darien in the Spring season.  (Note - a player who played last Spring, but who is repeating Kindergarten this year will also repeat T-Ball and should register again as a New Player.)  The returning player must be a Darien resident and may not be older than 14 years old on December 31, 2017.  To register a Returning Player, please visit  www.dybs.org and click on Register Online on the left hand side, scroll down, and select 2018 Spring Little League SOFTBALL – RETURNING PLAYERS
  • New Player is a girl who has NOT previously played in Darien in the Spring season.  If she has only played in the Fall season she is considered a New Player.  To register a New Player, please visit www.dybs.org and click on Register Online on the left hand side, then scroll down and select 2018 Spring Little League SOFTBALL – NEW PLAYERS.  New players must be Darien residents, must be in at least Kindergarten for the 2017-18 school year, and may not be older than 14 years old on April 30, 2018.  A player who played T-Ball last year, but who is repeating Kindergarten this year will also repeat T-Ball and should register again as a New Player.

Fees vary depending on a player’s grade and age.

Darien Little League relies on hundreds of volunteers.  Please consider volunteering to help in one of the following roles by checking the respective box on the registration form:

  • Manager – has overall responsibility to lead the team at practices and games
  • Coach – assists the Manager at practices and games
  • Team Parent / Uniforms – provides support to the team, as needed, and organizes the year-end collection of uniforms for donation to Pitch In for Baseball, an organization that distributes them to kids in need
  • Committee Member – assists DLL Board Operating Committees with activities such as tryouts, evaluations, opening day, and special events

It is the policy of Darien Little League that all children have the opportunity to play regardless of ability to pay.  To request a DLL scholarship, please email Mike Yusko at  .  Scholarship requests and grants are handled discreetly and confidentially.  Alternatively, if you are able to make a donation to Darien Little League to help fund our scholarships and other programs, you may do so during registration.

We’re excited for a great Spring season!  If you have any questions regarding Little League Softball registration, please contact Andrea Halvorsen at
