Returning Players are those players who have previously played in Darien in the Spring season. To register a Returning Baseball Player please go to the home page and select the green registration button and select Returning Player registration.
New Players are those players who have not previously played in Darien in the Spring season. A player who has played Summer or Fall Ball but has not played in the Spring season is considered a New Player. New players must also register online. A player who played in TBall last season and is repeating Kindergarten will also repeat TBall, and should register as a New Player as well. In addition, a parent also needs to attend the onsite sessionsto verify the player's birthdate and residency. This on site birthdate and residency verification will be held Sunday, January 29th, 2017 from 11-1pm at the McGuane Fieldhouse. Regular registration deadline for AA league and higher (2nd grade and higher) is December 31, 2017.
Regular deadline for A Ball and T-Ball is January 31, 2017.
Registration will stay open beyond those dates, but late fees of $50 will be charged for registrations and payments made after those deadlines. PAYMENTS MUST BE MADE BY CREDIT CARD THROUGH THE ONLINE SYSTEM.
DLL Field Improvement Fee: For New players to Darien Spring Little League - $100 Increased participation in the baseball and softball programs has put enormous pressure on all of our facilities. In order to continue to maintain and improve McGuane Park and to ensure the highest quality playing conditions at all of the other facilities that we use on an on going basis, the Field Improvement Fee will be assessed for first time registrants in Spring Darien Little League (returning players are not required to pay this fee, and players who played TBall last season who are repeating Kindergarten this year also do not need to pay this fee a second time). If a player has played Summer Ball or Fall Ball but has not played in the Spring season he or she is considered a New Player.
The maximum field improvement fee per family is $200.
Board of Education Field Use Fee - $25
The BOE has instituted a mandatory fee of $23 per player, per sport, per season to use the Darien school fields. This fee will be added to your registration fee.
Regular Voting Members (Optional $10 fee) Darien Little League offers the opportunity for parents to be more involved with the program. The optional regular membership fee gives a parent the opportunity to actively participate in and influence the decisions that affect the League as a whole with a vote at the Annual Meeting. The next Annual Meeting will be held in September.
T-Ball, A Ball, AA Ball: Refunds will be issued (less a $25 processing fee) before the player's first game. After the player's first game, refunds will only be issued (on a pro-rata basis) for season-ending injuries with a doctor's note.
AAA, Minors, Majors: Refunds will be issued (less a $25 processing fee) before notification of team rosters. After notification of team rosters, refunds will only be issued (on a pro-rata basis) for season-ending injuries with a doctor's note.
